SIMPLY REAL - Solo Exhibition at CO|SO
The Copley Society of Art is pleased to present SIMPLY REAL, a solo exhibition of Robin Frisella in the Red Room Gallery. This exhibition opens with a reception on Thursday, November 12th from 5:30 to 7:30pm, and continues through Thursday, December 24th, 2015. The artist will be demonstrating her techniques for the public on Saturday, November 14th from 1 -3 pm.
Although Robin has a passion for portraiture, she is principally a still life painter. Robin creates each scene with an arrangement of traditional objects, adding fabric, flowers, and fruit to portray a timeless elegance. Robin’s goal is to visibly move people and evoke personal nostalgic reflections. Her work moves the viewer and inspires Robin to paint daily. Robin’s hope is that she can inspire others in the same way she was inspired to discover her gift for painting.
Robin’s work has garnered numerous national and regional awards. She has been elected a signature member of the Pastel Society of America and a juried member of the Copley Society of Art. Robin’s work has recently been published in the Best of America Pastel Artists Vol. II, The American Artist Magazine, New Hampshire Magazine, The American Art Collector, and the Pastel Journal. In September, the Pastel Society of America awarded Robin the Pastel Artists of Hawaii Award for Clementine Reflections. Most recently Robin received 2nd place in the Pastel Journal’s top 100 in the Still Life and Florals category. Her work is currently on display at the Butler Institute of American Art in Ohio.
